OUR PHILOSOPHY
At Marble Valley Academy we value learning in an environment of respect through courtesy, cooperation, patriotism, honesty, good citizenship, and appreciation of diversity. Our academic curriculum is designed to offer a comprehensive advanced and exciting learning experience for Pre-School to 9th-grade students. All programs at MVA are influenced to target the whole child using Howard Gardner's Multiple Intelligence Theory of eight separate types of intelligence. We believe the 8 intelligence theory has allowed MVA to help educate all students intentionally by seeing and reaching the needs of each individual student.
OUR HISTORY
As the mother of 8, grandmother of 38, and previous school teacher, my entire adult life has been—and is— focused on young children, adolescents and teenagers. I am passionate about doing everything possible to help them discover the wonders of living and the beauty of life— to become all that they can be and reach for their dreams.
Following my involvement for 28 years at a Silicon Valley private school, when my family relocated to El Dorado County I felt the inevitable desire to provide an opportunity for families to give their children an honest, advanced, and affordable private education. I felt the calling to continue the joy in aiding children to discover their unique learning intelligence by providing a vigorous yet safe and positive learning environment.
Over the past 22 years Marble Valley Academy, a non-profit institution, has progressed and expanded to provide a holistic experience of growth, confidence, would with a love of learning. I am grateful to observe the continued success of our students through Marble Valley and beyond using the life long skills acquired here to launch success in adulthood.
