OUR CURRICULUM
The curriculum at MVA is designed to offer a comprehensive and exciting learning experience for each individual child. With the national curriculum as a guide and a spiraling course of instruction, students at MVA receive an extraordinary educational foundation. Students establish a mental framework supported by an excellent staff which fosters extensive retention, opportunities for application of new skills and knowledge, enrichment experiences and instruction guiding students to exceed typical expectations and soar ahead. Our program features a curriculum that encompasses the essential subjects of language arts, mathematics, technology, science, social studies, physical education, music, visual arts, Spanish, speech, and character education. Our course of study is individually designed to encourage and inspire learners to take intellectual risks and think critically, problem solve and collaborate, and who accept and respect the opportunity and gift of learning throughout a lifetime.
We take great pride in offering the best educational experience in El Dorado Hills and do so because we hold high value in a low student/teacher ratio while still exposing our students to an abundance of learning opportunities. Our goal for all of our students is to leave Marble Valley Academy extremely prepared for any college-preparatory high school experience and beyond, and our success is measurable in seeing our alumni attending prestigious Ivy League colleges, as well as many other universities throughout the country.
Early Childhood
The early childhood curriculum is an academic developmental program based on a sequence of skills and experiences that help build a foundation for your child’s future growth.
ELEMENTARY
While encouraging the child’s development in small and large groups, we offer continuity and consistency with our Elementary Curriculum designed to develop the whole child.
MIDDLE SCHOOL
In preparation for high school the middle school curriculum is dynamic while enriched with strong academics and experiences in several subjects.
ACHIEVEMENT Testing
Essential in every good education is the opportunity to test ourselves against a standard. At Marble Valley Academy students have the chance to show competence for all prescribed objectives based on written tests, quizzes, performance evaluations, projects, speeches, observations and personal reflection. Standardized tests are administered each year. Testing results are sent to families in June and teachers use the reports to fine tune and personalize instruction for the next year. In addition to this, parents and students can check grades and progress online at anytime and report cards are prepared for the end of each semester, with progress reports at the quarters. Teachers post daily topics and assignments using an electronic planner. Homework is age appropriate and increases in amount and difficulty as students get older.
Visit Our Campus
We welcome new students to participate in a 2-day shadow sit in, where they will be fully emerged into our classroom and campus experience to ensure Marble Valley is a great fit for them. You may schedule this visit with no obligation as we offer this program complimentary to interested families with children Pre-K to 12.
